1. What We Collect

  • Account information: business name, manager name and email; employee names, phone numbers, job titles, pay rates, and login PINs (stored as salted hashes — we cannot read them back).
  • Time & schedule records: clock-in/out times, breaks, computed hours, schedules, availability, time-off requests, correction requests, and manager approval/edit history.
  • Technical data: standard logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How We Use It

Only to provide the Service to your business: recording time, building schedules, computing hours, generating payroll exports, and notifying users of relevant events. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who Can See Your Data

  • Each business's data is isolated: managers see only their own business; employees see only their own records plus their team's published schedule.
  • Service providers: data is hosted on Supabase (database & authentication) and Vercel (web hosting). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments.
  • We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Employees: Your Employer Controls the Account

If you use TimeTracker as an employee, your employer created your access and controls the business account, including your time records. Questions about how your employer uses this data should go to your employer. We process employee data on the employer's behalf.

5. Security

Access is protected by authentication, per-business row-level security enforced in the database, and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure; keep your credentials confidential.

6. Retention & Deletion

We retain business data while the account is active. A business owner may request export or deletion of the business's data by contacting us. Note that employers may be legally required to retain time records for a period (e.g., FLSA requires 2–3 years in the US) — deletion requests should account for that.

7. Children

The Service is intended for workplace use and not directed to children under 16 as consumers.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be indicated by updating the date above.
